The S.RANIS – PIRAEUS MARITIME TRAINING CENTRE (PMTC) is the eldest educational establishment (foundation year 1970) providing first class maritime education and training (MET) to ship officers, crews and shipping companies’ employees. Based in the Piraeus shipping hub, with more than 50 years at the MET forefront, the PMTC is ISO 9001 certified by Bureau Veritas and runs a full list of professional (STCW/2010, etc) courses, being accredited by major flag states such as Cyprus, Malta and Liberia.

The Centre is accommodated in its own school premises and is equipped by state of art training equipment such as the TRANSAS Full Mission Bridge/Maneuvering/ARPA CLASS A Simulator, WARTSILA Engine Room Simulator, WARTSILA High Voltage Simulator, WARTSILA – TRANSAS GMDSS (global marine communications) Simulator, TRANSAS Liquefied Cargo Handling Simulator (Oil Tanker, Product carrier, LNG, LPG & Chemical Tanker) and ECDIS (electronic charts) simulators. PMTC’s team of instructors comprises industry top professionals, Masters and Chief Engineers, carefully selected on the basis of adequate theoretical knowledge and sea gained professional competence.

With the above facilities and courses and dedicated staff we are able to serve the PMTC’s primary target to provide maritime education and training of the highest industry standards.
