Course Aim:
To provide an effective training course for those responsible for implementing, and ensuring compliance with, the standards of the ILO Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).

Objectives
To enable seafarers to acquire the desired knowledge on the effect of the implementation of MLC, 2006 on board ships, where the participants at the end of the course will be able to:

  • Understand the key elements of the convention and the minimum requirements to work on a ship;
  • Understand the role of the Shipowner, the ratifying states, labour supplying countries and seafarer’s themselves;
  • Understand the importance of effective implementation of MLC, 2006 in relation to company procedures;
  • Understand and be able to execute one’s role and responsibilities during inspections

Certificate
All those completing this course will be qualified on Implementation of Marine Labour Convention 2006 as per ILO requirements
