Provided they hold an appropriate certificate and are otherwise qualified in accordance with Regulation A-V/1-2 para 2.2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended, those successfully completing the Advanced training in liquefied gas tanker cargo operations course should therefore be able to safely perform their duties for loading, unloading and care in transit or handling of cargo on liquefied gas tankers. They will make a safer and more effective contribution to the operation and control of the cargo on liquefied gas tanker, which will improve the ship safety and provide greater protection to the environment in particular.

Certificate
All who are qualified in “Advanced training for liquefied gas tanker cargo operations” programme in accordance with Regulation V/1-2 paragraph 3 shall be issued with a certificate.
