Those who successfully complete this course should be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge, skill and understanding of ECDIS navigation and electronic charts as per IMO model course 1.27 to undertake the duties of a navigational watch officer defined by STCW Code, as amended.

Documentary evidence is issued to those who have successfully completed this course indicating that the holder has completed training in the navigational use and operation of Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) based on IMO model course 1.27.
