Sυccessful completion of this coυrse should enable candidates to participate effectively in co-ordinated schemes for medical assistance on ships at sea and to provide the sick or injured with a satisfactory standard of medical care while they remain on board.

Certificate
This course has been approved by the Cook Islands, Belize, Marshall Islands,Liberia, Hondura.

A trainee who successfuIIy completes this course is provided with a certificate attesting that he has completed the course and it is satisfied with the medical care requirements specified in paragraph 13 of the appendix to regulation II/2 of the 1978 STCW Convention and in the ΙΜΟ/ΙLΟ Document for Guidance, 1985.
